I’ve been a bad blogger this past week. I normally try to write once a day, but I’ve been super busy with work and haven’t made time. I also haven’t worked out in a while, which I am sure I’ll soon regret when I step on the scale.
Going to DuBois this weekend, hopefully I will [...]

That was a monumental waste of my time. I applaud Pittsburgh for trying, but it’s kinda like building a bridge halfway and then stopping — it doesn’t serve much friggin’ purpose.
So I drove to the nearest trailhead for Montour Trail. However, I found out that it dead-ends in BOTH directions after 3/4 mile in one [...]

I’m off to see if I can’t track down one of the numerous trailheads for the Montour Trail. Supposedly they exist, but the website doesn’t exactly explain if I can park at them, how long they run before I hit a ‘not completed yet’ section etc…
I missed a few days there, which wasn’t too smart of me. Just when I start to improve, I always end up slacking. Bags!
Well, I dragged myself out of bed this morning and swam 1/2 a mile. Alyssa came too, and swam twice as far in almost the same time. Oh well, I can still [...]

Alyssa came home sick from work today, so I went to CVS to get her Rx filled. Of course, while there, I had to buy a bag of chips. A giant bag of chips. As lunch. With a bowl of rice and butter. With some chocolate for dessert. No wonder my whole body hurts when I [...]

Well I made up for missing the morning swim this morning by running to Alyssa’s office at Nugo. It was just about 12 miles, and took me about 1hr, 54mins. Thought it was further, but I’m definately not complaining. It was a long ,cold ride home in my wet clothes. Next time I’m taking a [...]

But I really feel like ordering pizza for lunch. I *did* swim this morning…so if I run later, I guess I could justify it…
Carbs, right?
I have no willpower, sigh.
Well my goal of 1 book per week is going well. I bought this on Saturday and I just finished it. Not bad for being 673 pages…lol.
So, this was book 11 in a 12-book series by Terry Goodkind, referred to as the ‘Sword of Truth’ books. I read the first volume, “Wizard’s First Rule”, waaay [...]

I often wonder what my goal in life is — what drives me. It seems to change so often. One day, I think I can just program forever and that will get me by. Other days, I wish I was back in school to be a personal trainer. Other days, I feel like tossing myself [...]
When I was a kid, I would DEVOUR books. I mean, devour. Like one a day. Somewhere along the way I got distracted by other things in life — games, sports, girls, games, girls…etc — and sort of slowed down. A lot. Although, in my defense I still read a book a month or so, [...]
