Our Pro-Form Stride Select 825 Elliptical has been off-balance for about the past year, so much so that it’s been unusable. This sucks, primarily because several hundred dollars for it at Dicks Sporting Goods, only to have it break once out of warranty.
I sat down today and took the base apart, and found our the [...]

Hey, that rhymed!
Anyways…I needed a change of pace today (no pun intended, haha) so I parked under the Birmingham Bridge and ran on the Southside trail for 4 miles. My main goal was to get a nice run in without hills, and you can’t get much flatter than the river trail. I feel pretty good, [...]

The new bed from the Original Mattress Factory arrived this morning, and damn is it comfortable! I love how high off the ground I am in it. Can’t wait for Alyssa to get home so we can take our first nap in it!

Since I *finally* convinced someone to hire me, Alyssa and I decided it was time (financially speaking) to buy a new mattress and box spring. After all, you can only sleep on two twin mattresses strapped together with nylon straps for so long before you need something comfortable.

I stumbled across this article while google searching Steve Prefontaine (my hero!). While I would personal put Prefontaine a little higher on the list, maybe 5 or 4, I think the list is a fair one. I am wondering how the heck Frank Shorter didn’t even make it on the list…c’mon!
Today I eat my last NuGO Free bar with a heavy heart, for it marks the last of the new flavors I have yet to try. On the bright side though, I now have three new flavors of NuGo bars to add to my pantry!
Today I tried NuGo Nutrition’s new NuGO Free: Dark Chocolate Crunch [...]

I know I’ve said it before, but I *really* like the taste of Hammer Nutrition’s new Strawberry Recoverite. IMHO it’s a giant leap forward on the taste scale from the lemon lime flavor.
If you run a lot, or are building up your mileage, I would recommend picking up some Recoverite for yourself. You can order [...]
It’s no secret - I love sci-fi fantasy books. I can’t seem to get enough of them. I just finished Terry Goodkind’s final book in the “Sword of Truth Series” after almost 10 years, and I re-read James Clemens’ “The Banned and the Banished” series until I found a new series.
A friend of mine recommended [...]
